E10 No Record Found Report Alert

I do something similar to Patrick.  I start all my BAQs with the company table so that at least one record is returned (the company record).  Then if no records are returned under the Company table, I display "No Records Found".  I kind of like Patrick's way better now that I think about it.

The other option is when you create the report use and outer join at the top join so you actually display a header record for the report and then no detail records.
The result would be a report with no records but it still prints out the report, I have done this with BAQ’s to Crystal and then programed a message in the body “No Records Found”.
It was an error trapping report so the user wanted proof that they ran the report each week.

I have that exact thing on my “go-live” to-do list.  Because it does not find any data in the create XML (or database) phase it never fires the report (Crystal or SSRS).  With my direct ODBC reports I can generate a blank one but the report style reports from within the system leave people guessing.  The closest we have come is the pop-up balloons.  There are pop-ups for errors but it would be nice if there was also one for no records found.
