SalesForce.com

We have been looking into integrating Salesforce.com with Epicor and
have started some preliminary work.

Take a look at http://alttechsolutions.com/connect.htm.
They are an Epicor partner and have what looks to be the solution to the
CRM problem.

We have the CRM module but just don't feel like it even comes close to
the benefits of salesforce.com. I expect that we will complete our move
to Salesforce by years end.

Being able to integrate Salesforce and Epicor made the decision to move
to Salesforce a no-brainer. In a nutshell we 'finally' get the best of
breed, real CRM and continue with the full functionality of Epicor.

Good Day:

RE: CRM module in E9 - 9.05.605 or SalesForce.com

We want to start using CRM.

Sales maybe wants to use Salesforce.com software but wants it
integrated into E9.

I would think using the E9 CRM module would be a better answer, but
I know nothing about it.

Any one evaluated the two and picked one?

Anyone satisfied with using E9's CRM?

Getting Saleman and Servicemen to use it fully will be the big
challenge.

I think we will eventually want a fairly robust package since we
want to track salesman's reports on visits to customers, phone calls,
quotes, etc; and then we also have a service crew we would like to
schedule. Eventually probably want it to do Expenses and report into
Concur system ( or similar).

Just my opinion...
In Vantage, since this is just a module & can't compete with a full fledged CRM package.

About the only good argument for the CRM module I hear is that it is integrated.

We used standalone Clientel before switching to CRM in Vantage.
All the users I talk with still think it was a big step backwards.
We ended up not using much of it and customizing the rest.

Hard question as you have not defined what you need.
We use some of the CRM in E9 and can't think of much that is missing.
Add into the picture Information Worker and if you want to go one more step, use Epicor Mobile Access that you can customize for complete access and update via mobile devices.
Only item I have not seen is integration of expenss reporting into CRM.
I would choose integration with all your content over a small feature that may be a little better.
