E9 - DMT to update part revisions

Very strange outcome. Even though DMT was throwing errors on all of the rows in the DMT spreadsheet, it did actually remove the operations for all of the rows. We found we had to run the DMT twice. The first time checked the part revision into the Engineering Workbench. The second pass performed the deletes of the operations. The error thrown for the second pass was.

2013-01-12T07:06:07 01-56-001-00 20 Method (ecoopdtlAfterGetNew) Table ECOOpr Record not available.

For the recored, we are running 700C.

If you still can't run your update after those checks post the error message.

Has anyone had any luck with modifying part methods via DMT? We want to simply delete a few operations on a couple hundred parts. fortunately, not the operation that has material, so we thought it would be possible, but we are getting errors when trying.

Before going live and when we found a large data error, we would delete the part revision all together and start over. With a couple weeks of production, not an option we can exercise anymore.

What errors are you getting?

I use the DMT to update MOMs all the time. The DMT follows the same logic as Epicor, so if you can delete the operations manually you can delete them using the DMT. Make sure you have the required fields to delete the BOM (there is a button you can click to list them). If it's operations you want to delete the associated material has to be deleted first.
