E9 Help File Duplicates - Is it just me?

Hi,

Yes, we also have seen several instances of duplicate definitions in the help file. Additionally, finding the help that you want is quite difficult, it really takes much more hunting and pecking than one would expect. Lastly, much of the help is not helpful at all, in that it does not describe the function, but merely gives steps, or gives "lamo" definitions such as Allocated cost: the cost that is allocated. Sorely lacking, IMO.

I've noticed when reading the online help files in Epicor 9, there are a
lot of paragraphs show up 2 or more times.

For example, I was reading what the "Allow One Time Ship To" checkbox on
the Customer Detail tab was for and the help file has this section
repeated twice. The same is true for the "Allow Ship To Third Party"
definition.



Is it just me or are others seeing this too?

No, its not just you. There are many instances in the Help file where it "Loops" back to the same help reference. Sometimes if you click on a link like the detail fields it takes you back to the summary and so forth.
