E9 - MES Clock Out button rules

Thanks Tom. Thank makes sense. We only have one shift right now and we falsely assumed we could just clock out and basically pause any active activity. It makes better sense to have to end the activity, report any quantities, then clock out for the day.

We know if the employee has no active jobs and logs in, the Clock Out button is active. However, with some combination of active activities, the Clock Out button becomes disabled and grayed out. Searching the help, I cannot find anything that details the Clock Out button behavior.

Sorry for such a basic question, but we are having trouble finding information as to what the rules are for the Clock Out button to be grayed out when an employee is logged into the MES system. Any help would be appreciated,

My understanding is the you cannot clock out (close the LaborHed record) until all the labordtl records associated with the header record are no-longer active. For us that simply means the user cannot be clocked into any job.

Sorry for such a basic question, but we are having trouble finding information as to what the rules are for the Clock Out button to be grayed out when an employee is logged into the MES system. We know if the employee has no active jobs and logs in, the Clock Out button is active. However, with some combination of active activities, the Clock Out button becomes disabled and grayed out. Searching the help, I cannot find anything that details the Clock Out button behavior.

Any help would be appreciated,
Tim
