Good Day Joe:
Not sure, but I believe that you get a PartAlocTran every time a
transaction is made that affects allocations
PartAlloc would be current Net of all the transactions.
So if there are three transactions to the Qty of stock allocated to
job:
say add 2 delete 1 add six = three PartAllocTran
records
then PartAlloc is just one record whose value in the "Allocated"
field would change from
2 to 1 to 7
0+2= 2 -1 = 1 +6 = 7
len.hartka@...
Part Allocations. Contains records representing the Hard, Picking,
Staged allocation quantity against stock and jobs. Note: As of it's
introduction with the 5.1 release it only represents demands from Sales
Orders. Future plans are to include the Mfg demands.
Part Allocation Transaction. When an allocation is made, parameters used
during the allocation will be stored in this transaction.

Hi All,
I read the descriptions for these two tables but I can wrap my mind
around what the differences are between them.
Can some please explain what the difference is?
