E9: Product Configurator - Document Rules

How does that differ from the new "Structure Rules", which I thought
allowed configurations to work their way through a multi-plant
operation?

Hi All,

When creating a document rule in the configurator, the list of tables
that are available include "Purchase Order" and "Purchase Order Detail",
however, I do not see a way to run the configurator from a PO.

If I assign values to one of the PO tables, how would the fields get
updated?

The new document feature supports the new feature to Buy -> Order
capabilities in 9.05. It's there if you never see the product - Buy to
Order if you will. It's not there for regular purchasing process.

Thanks Mark,

In our case, we are looking to use it for Buy to Order parts. Ideally,
we'd like to be able to configure a part at the sales order or quote
level and have the configurator determine the PO purchase cost then when
we create a buy to order PO this cost would come over.

Is this how it works?

Thank you for the explanation. I guess it won't work like I hoped. :(
