E9 to E10 Migration: ICEVer issue

Yes, I get the feeling that while it is safe to ignore the errors themselves, the issue becomes that the migration process doesn't write to ICEVer properly unless it completes with 0 errors.
So it look like Task ID 300 deletes all the rows in this table.
I’m running each step one at a time to see when it puts back the “bad” row.

I can tell you from personal experience that all of the issues described here happened to me (both the IceVer being messed up, and the Admin Console stopped working then until I re-installed it) and I am doing a SQL to SQL conversion. We were never on a Progress database.

Glad to hear others are seeing this, and that Epicor is aware. Is 10.1 still predicted to be out next month?

I am doing a fresh migration from 702a to 700.3, I'll let you know if it is still clearing this table.

Do you mean 703, not 700.3? I heard it was coming but didn't know when. Where did you get it? I don't see it on EpicWeb yet.

            Will Epicor still sell 9.05.7xx?    I thought 9.05.702 was the end of the line.

 

            I thought they will only sell 10.xx.xxx; and development will stop on 9.05.7xx? Patches, but nothing new.

 

            I do not know, just asking?

 I was confused... I was thinking 9.05.703, which it is not, it's 10.0.700.3.
It appears that the ICEVer table is cleared when migrating using the 700.3 update as well.

I can tell you from personal experience that all of the issues described here happened to me (both the IceVer being messed up, and the Admin Console stopped working then until I re-installed it) and I am doing a SQL to SQL conversion. We were never on a Progress database.

Glad to hear others are seeing this, and that Epicor is aware. Is 10.1 still predicted to be out next month?

I guess that makes sense, unfortunately.
When I called Epicor to explain the issue, they hadn’t heard about it which likely means that there isn’t an SCR yet.

I believe I had this issue the first time I migrated from 9.05.702A SQL to E10.0.700.2 -- but I had received an error during the DB migration step (the one that takes the longest) that I had ignored.  When I started all over, fixed the issue that caused the error, and ran it all the way through without an error, then I was able to get to the step where you first login to Epicor (Chapter 9 in the migration guide) and it actually worked to login this time.  After the conversions ran, there were more entries in the Ice.ICEVer table.
It’s possible that is the issue.
I get two errors related to creating keys against report tables. Epicor said that they were not critical and I could ignore them.
