E9\ V8 -Trim Field in BAQ or BPM

Hi
Â
To decrease the Length on Dash Boards & Reports use the Syntax in the calculated Field as
Â
Left({Part.PartDescription},30)
Â
30 - This would be the length of the string & can be increased or decreased.
Â
Thanks.

Good Day:

RE: Trim Field in BAQ or BPM
Sun is implementing EPICOR 9, SQL (9.05.600B.2) with a 10/4 Go-Live
date.

Since our Part: Description can be 8-12 lines, I would like to Trim (
Truncate) it on Dashboards and report.

What is the syntax in BAQ and BPM?

In Excell it is: Mid( [cell],start-n,n-number of characters) or
Right([cell],n) or Left([cell],n)
