ECR using Work Flow Group

We are using tasksets to do our changes since we have so many people
that need to contribute to the data. Out path is Doc Control (add part
and rev, check-out part, create BOM) -> Purchasing (setup warehouses,
min/max, etc.) -> Production (add operations) -> Doc Control (review
data, approve and check-in) -> Cost Acct (add std costs and roll if
necessary) -> Customer Service (price and warranty info).



A few issues we had was the limited information the user would get from
the task (group name). To resolve this I created a BAM based on the
task table since the task is not created until it is assigned to a user.
I e-mail the person with the active task the important information from
the ECO* tables.



Another issue is getting the users to actually do their step so the
parts don't sit in limbo-land too long. To help resolve this I created
a report to show average time to complete tasks - maybe peer pressure
will help.



Overall I like using tasksets because we can easily track where a part
is in the process.
