EdgeAgent - See configured AppServer URLs?

Beyond re-running the installer, or locating the appsettings.json file, is there a GUI way to see the configured App Server URLs for EdgeAgent?

Ideally they would just display on the diagnostics screen/page when you open from the tray. Are they visible somewhere else?

There is an option to add one somewhere when clicking on it, can’t remember where exactly, but when you get there it shows all 4.

Is it System Agent?

Yeah, I have only found those (4) input boxes when you run the installer…

No.

For browser-based Kinetic there is no System Agent in the tray, just the “Edge Agent”, which helps with local printing & files.

Not in front of a pc, but I would expect that there would be a .config file in the installation file of the edge agent

Hmmm Seems to be a common theme here. I am never in front of a computer when responding to edge agent queries.

Turns out the server URLs look like they are in the shortcut properties

I did not see a config file in the folder although there is some interesting stuff in there

not sure what the printtray demo folder is about.

So that URL on the shortcut is just to the Edge Agent, not the environments.

The appsettings.json file is located here:
C:\Program Files\Epicor\EdgeAgent\edgeapp

But @Adam asked where to amend the AppServer URLs without editing this file, or re-running the installer. I’m not aware of a way - but I do routinely edit my appsettings.json locally as I work with lots of different environments. I’ve got about 12 AppServer URLs and Client folders defined in the settings file and it works fine.

I have to retract this. I finally got back to a pc, and I can’t find that option anywhere.
Must have been hallucinating.

It looks like this is in a file called appsettings.json in this location C:\Program Files\Epicor\EdgeAgent\edgeapp – never mind can’t read, Mark already mentioned this

FWIW, I’ve had the same hallucination. Maybe I’m just remembering the installation screen :person_shrugging: , but my mind has an image of a window with the entire configuration listed.

@jgiese.wci I think figured it out and how to silently configure the agent and install it.

We already did that on a couple PCs the main issues are that it doesn’t use our sysconfig it uses a hardcoded one (lose Select On Enter, Duplicate File Handling, etc) and the autoupdate.exe freaking out when EdgeAgent.exe is running. Unless you mean something else the issue isn’t the silent install it’s the app itself

Anyone enter the idea for it yet?
