EDI question Blank Title 68594

Hi Bill,

I think you should really consider getting the Epicor consulting
depending on what your Vantage and/or EDI experience is.

In summary, to output documents you have to (I'm assuming you're on
v8):
1. Set up the documents on Customer Maintenance | Documents. Make
sure the "Alt Trading Partner" is the same as the trading partner you
setup on eVision.
2. Amend the Report Data Definitions starting with "EDI..." to
include all the data required by your trading partners. Do NOT create
"New Relationships" (v8.03.40x) as they won't export for EDI. Make
sure the "Report Type" on the Detail tab is set to "Outbound EDI".
3. Amend/Create Report Styles for the documents making sue to note
where you set the Output Location.
4. You then need to create workflows in eVision that look in this
output folder and act on any files it finds there.

In summary, to import documents you have to:
1. Have the eVision workflow map all inbound documents to a format
acceptable to a Service Connect workflow.
2. Have eVision export the mapped documents to a specific folder that
Service Connect is watching. It will then pull Sales Orders into
Demand Management where they can be processed into Sales Order
Management.

Feel free to contact me if you need any more details.

Nigel.

Hi, everyone,

We just finished Tie commerce' training for EDI, but according to Tie, they are not involved in Vantage's input and output. Can someone tell me what you do in Vantage to output invoices, Purchase orders and input data back to Vantage with Sale orders. Epicor wants some consulting time, is that we really have to do?

Thanks

Bill Wu
