There really is not installing of XML. It is a standard data format. For
example you could export data in an excel file to xml. Many use it for
quick data tasks in programming. It can be as easy or complicated as you
make it. I'm sure using the EDI module is quite easy for you and having
to now extract that data to XML may be cumbersome. What version of
vantage are you running? Vantage 8 works quite nicely with XML using
Service Connect. I know this is a broad answer but glean what you can
from the info I am providing and shoot me back any other questions you
may have regarding the matter.

Subject: [Vantage] EDI vs. XML

Good Morning,

We have been using the EDI module to bill one of our customers, but in
talking to that customer, they suggested using XML. Anyone using XML?
If so, how easy (or difficult) is it to install and use? Will there be
any types of modifications or considerations that will need to be
addressed? Any info or help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you should be looking into Service Connect to implement this.
