Electronic 1099?

This is probably a silly question. We are on 10.2.700.40 and we are looking to do electronic 1099s this year for the first time.

I was able to follow Epicor’s instructions and set up the electronic interface file which creates a .txt file with the 1099 information.

However, it seems the IRS’s IRIS portal only accepts .csv files. What do you guys use to get the electronic file to the IRS for processing?

I would try opening up the txt in Excel and saving as a csv
