Employee status in Shop Maintenance

Best answer yet!

Much regards to the group for the answer.

Good morning!

Believe it or not somebody keeps inactivating certain employees that are active.

Does it require that user be a member of the payroll class of the active employee to de-activate them?  Also, is there a log somewhere that displays this activity?

Regards.

What version of Epicor are you using?  The interfaces may be different.

Via 9.05 702A, User Security requires someone with "Security Manager" rights to enable or disable the accounts.  Person/Contact and Employee records could be designated to a Finance or Payroll security group (or individual, depending on how your security is set up), but those records (to my knowledge) only control functionality within the system, not access to Epicor directly.

Hope this helps ...
You can view the security thru menu security to see who has access to that form. If you want to track who changes the fields you have to create the BAM to track those field changes, once you do that it will track the changes (who makes the change, when, etc).

Okay, so I've added a BAM for EmpBasic and all fields in this table to report a change log, but there is no change log in Shop Employee

Set a menu maintenance security group.  You can also do a Field Security on the Pull Down.

I had to write a BAQ for the employee change log.
