For anyone interested the solution is:
1) Go into the Web services config screen where you are expecting to see the pilot database.
2) Add a Virtual directory name relative to your Pilot system
3) Specify the Progress server that holds the Pilot DB
4) Specify the port number for the Pilot DB
5) Select the required services from the available list
6) Update site
