End of the period processing

What is the procedure to close out the end of the month/year in Vantage
8? Is there something that we will need to do. We are still in the
implementation of 8.03.400. In our current system, we have a procedure
that we must follow to close out the period. We are curious as to what
is done in Vantage. Thanks!
