If your current (non-Vantage) ECN/ECO process solution is working (and not creating integration issues) - keep it.
Then take the time to compare your current process with the forced workflows of Vantage to see if they would really work with your people & processes.
(I wish someone had given me this advice prior to going live with the DMR process.)

We are trying to nail down the process for ECN/ECO in Vantage but we are not seeing what we are used to using in an MRP system. In the past our Engineers issued an ECN # and at that point all transactions are stopped that affect that part; then the changes are investiaged with priority level & person assigned; finally all involved parties are required to check off on acknowledging the ECN (engineering, quality control, purchasing, scheduling, customer reps, manufacturing, etc.) Is there something in Vantage that would help facilitate this or do you use an outside system to track ECN/ECO?
