Could you use a Palm Applet to collect the data and load into Vantage?

Enhancement request 12942MPS:
Add sub-component security to the Labor Entry Module in Vantage to do
the following
- separate security for editing details and header information
- security so employees can edit only their own labor details
The problem we have is that we have employees who clock-in in the
morning and out at the end of the day but for whatever reason they
cannot log on and off jobs during the day (usually because they are
offsite all day jumping between jobs). The Labor header information is
created and this is what drives payroll. But, we also need the details
of what they worked on so that is gets applied to the appropriate jobs.
Currently, they fill out excel timesheet and email it to accounting who
manually enters it in. we can't have them edit it themselves through
labor entry b/c then they could edit payroll header info and also
everyone else's records. So, the above sub-component security would
solve our problem by allowing them to log in and enter their own details
for the day.
