Enter a Material with 0 Qty

I thought you could enter a quantity as 0 in E10. I want to add material as reference…was this removed?

In what context? You can add 0 qty on BOM

That was introduced in 10.1, what version of 10 are you on?

Maybe I am doing something wrong…there isnt a setting correct that I need to set?

When I tried we were on 10.1.600.5 and now on .12

hmm, not that I know of. Sounds like you should call service. What happens when you try to add a material with 0 qty?

edit: We are on 10.1.600.5 and it works fine for us. We didn’t do anything to get it working.

You don’t have a BPM on that would be causing your problem would you?

There is a setting on company maintenance that determines what you want the
default quantity per parent to be, you can set it as 0, 1, etc

It is because we had pull as assembly, noticed that it was not checked in the image above.

Funny, we had to write a BPM to STOP our people from doing this.
