Enter data in a field to update further records (Vantage 8.03.40

Have attempted this but have to admit am struggling. Basically in the Demand Entry screen on the Schedule / List tab I want to add a text box. We can then enter data into this text box that will update the Character01 field in any Demand Schedules shown below which are awaiting processing.

Am not sure if I should use the same field on the text box as the list? Have not added a button before either and am working throught the User Guide to find instruction on that too! Any help would be much appreciated!

We currently use Demand Entry to process our customer schedules (and have a customisation to help with this). However, when adding new requirements throught the 'Create Demand Schedule' option we are unable to complete a UD field that we need.

What I would like to do is add a field/button on the top of the list screen (or a copy of this screen) and enter the relevant data which when I click the button will update any Demand Schedules below... am I correct in thinking the best way to do this would be via BPM?

tia
Yes BPM would be the way to go on that

Thanks - I am relatively new to BPM's and would be quite confident creating one that updates one record/field but am unsure as we want to update multiple records... any advice?

FOR EACH TABLE WHERE TABLE.FIELD='YOUR CRITERIA'
ASSIGN TABLE.FIELD=NEWValue.
