Hi Adrian,

I haven't (yet, at least) used Service Connect with Enterprise for a WMS,
but Service Connect does work with Enterprise.

Cheers,

Jeff

Hi Jeff

I agree. I have previously implemented an external WMS in E9 for a client
using a variety of methods including BPMs, Service Connect and .Net. I am
now trying to get a feel for what is possible with Enterprise and what
methods people may have used to create the Interfaces

As I learned, if using Service Connect to connect with a WMS, it is critical
to do volume testing. A WMS will typically have lots of transactions and
most companies need them to be processed in as near real-time as possible.
A primary goal of a WMS is to make the warehouse operations as fast and
efficient as possible. What works and is fast enough in the test
environment can turn out to be too slow once the production volume is
running through it. It all depends on your client's warehouse size and
complexity.

Adrian,

If you mean Warehouse Management System (WMS), this was used at my previous
place of employment. They used EDI (900 series transactions) and Service
Connect to interface. It was all custom written by Epicor - but probably
could now be done without Epicor since I now know more about Service
Connect. I expect you could use the EDI and bring the data into Epicor with
another method such as .Net or something else also (instead of Service
Connect)...

I don't know...But Service Connect works with many different software products. I have not heard of or used EBackOffice. Since you listed Epicor Enterprise, I thought it was a version of Epicor...I would ask Epicor or the Service Connect vendors. The main issue is that the software needs to use Web Services, .Net, or can accept input in any of the outputs that Service Connect uses...
