Epicor 10 - Disable Module

In 9.05 you can delete the currently assigned license then re-import it via the Admin Console.  You can then go into the newly imported license and individually activate the desired modules one by one, leaving the unwanted module disabled.  Then the license can be reassigned to the company.

Hey Everyone

We have a new installation of Epicor 10 in a Test Environment and we need to disable a module that is currently enabled. Does anyone know how to go about doing this? We can't disable the modules in the license manager and only have a single license.

Thanks

You have to do this through Epicor Admin Console….

I must have misread…I think Epicor has to give you a new license with the particular module disabled….I don’t think you can just enable or disable what you own.

Subject: [Vantage] Epicor 10 - Disable Module

Hey Everyone

We have a new installation of Epicor 10 in a Test Environment and we need to disable a module that is currently enabled. Does anyone know how to go about doing this? We can't disable the modules in the license manager and only have a single license.

Thanks

Hi,

You can't disable, if that module already enable.
you must reconfigure for achieve that.

Rusmin
Once you enable a module you cannot disable it after hitting Apply.

The way around this is as follows:

Using the Administration Console, remove the license from the environment you would like to use as your test environment. Next, import the license as you normally would. Go ahead and enable all modules, BUT do NOT click apply, instead uncheck the module(s) you don't want enabled and then click apply. This will enable all the modules except those you don't want running. If at a later time you decide to turn them on, you can go right into the administration console and enable them.

We used to have to do this for customers with the CRM module because it required some initial setup inside the application prior to CRM being functional.

This should do the trick,
