Epicor 9.05.700C - BAQ Question

Did you try creating an external baq and pointing it back at your Epicor DB?

Is there some reason that you could not use one of the user defined tables that already exist in the database?

Subject: [Vantage] Epicor 9.05.700C - BAQ Question

Is there any way t o use a non-epicor SQL table in a BAQ?
I had to create a new table in the Epicor905 instance and would like to access it with a BAQ?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Bill,

The external BAQ allows you to connect to a database and access the items within it. I have used these to connect to SQL views to get data. The SQL view allows you to structure data to match your specific needs.

I don’t see the External BAQ on the menu

You can create an External BAQ which allows you to use tables and views in your database. Use the New | External Query to start. I've used these to connect to many views, where you can do more data manipulation in SQL.

Found it.  Thanks very much!!

Is there a way to connect an external query to a non MSSQL DB like MySQL or PostgreSQL?
