Epicor 9, anyone else getting a little excited?

I heard it was in the works for Epicor 9, but it may be 2010 before we see it.

I've not seen or heard anything at all that indicates that there's to
be a native 64 bit client or server for Epicor 9..

I'd love to be proven wrong though :)

There must be something wrong with me as for some reason I'm looking
forward to the release of Epicor 9, hopefully it's still scheduled for
this Monday 8th December.

If you trawl around EPICweb you can find a few things on Epicor 9. A
support call on it indicates that it's now at version 9.04.501, the
support forum now has an Epicor 9 section and the Education section has
a topic called 'Epicor 9 - Upgrade/Migration' (Epicor's own staff
allready have access to training docs see...
https://epicweb.epicor.com/Education/Lists/EdDocAnnouncements/DispForm.a
spx?ID=56 ).

I just wish they'd let me onto the beta as I'd have given it a good
hammering :)

The DVDs were released to manufacturing and we had our last teleconference
on Tuesday. The first three companies are now live.

Just a little "inside" knowledge (OK, not really inside) but the first
schema change takes you to 8.03.500. The very first Beta was 9.03.101, then
the second beta was 9.04.201, the third beta include 9.04.301 and .401. The
first three companies are live on .501 and you can expect at least .502 to
be ready before they distribute the DVDs widely.

We're still hammering on it. Some of the third party stuff needs more
"exposure". We're installing .501 soon.

BTW, the phone support number is 888-EPICOR9.

I just attended a User Group meeting yesterday. The (North East US) Epicor
reps in attendance indicated the release of 9.0 is now scheduled for some
time in January 09.

Just had a user group meeting yesterday with some Epicor people
presenting. We were told Version 9 might be generally available for the
first of the year.

There's an Epicor 9 section under 'Support' on EPICweb now with a few
downloads, though nothing that goes into any depth :(
I don't see any patches for 64 bit windows

I kind of thought I heard or saw that 64 bit windows was going to be
supported in 64 bit mode
