Is there an easy way to find out if a report style is actually in use or an option for a report?

“Come visit Coto Technology at Sensors Expo Booth #138 in Long Beach, June 10-11, to see the RedRock RR100 and all of our other Switch, Sensor, and Relay Solutions!”

I can tell you this…

If it is marked Valid then they can choose it…if it is marked default then that is the option displayed first when printing.

If you want to know which is being used put the name of the style in the footer of the form.

I am trying to figure out which RDD’s and Report Styles I need to recreate for E10.

If they are not used, I don’t want to waste the effort.

I am looking for a way to see if the report style is available for a menu item without having to open every single report to see if it’s there.

I don't know of an easy way to see where, if anywhere, a report can be launched from, but I do know that reports can be launched from action menus or scripts, so even if you manually check every menu item you still won't have a definitive list of every report that can be run.

This is why I was hoping there was a table somewhere holding this information.

I don't know of an easy way to see where, if anywhere, a report can be launched from, but I do know that reports can be launched from action menus or scripts, so even if you manually check every menu item you still won't have a definitive list of every report that can be run.

I can tell you this…

If it is marked Valid then they can choose it…if it is marked default then that is the option displayed first when printing.

If you want to know which is being used put the name of the style in the footer of the form.

Is there an easy way to find out if a report style is actually in use or an option for a report?

The Report table lists the reports. The ReportStyle table lists the styles available for each report (link with report ID) and also lists the RDDs used for the style. The Report Type table lists the type of report the style is such as Crystal, SSRS, or base (link with RptTypeID). Filter out Epicor standard reports and you'll be left with your custom reports (ours have style numbers 1000+). This will also tell you which RDDs are being used. The only thing it won't tell you is if anyone is actually picking the style and using it!
