Epicor 905.70X multi company - physical plant relocation

The tools you can use you have available DMT and or multi company... I
don't understand whY you don't want to use the tools available... there is
not going to be a magical switch or anything like that.
You have to either transfer the stuff using dmt or let it replicate through
multi company...

First time poster, however I have been watching posts for a few months now.

We are closing on of our production facilities.
The production is CSCL company in Epicor, there are 1000s of parts and many 100s of BOMs. As well as vendors/suppliers.

The plan is to relocate the production of these products (RM,FG and Sub assys) from one company CSCL in Epicor to another company CSCI in Epicor.
They are in the same SQL database but are separate legal entities and separate companies inside Epicor.

There must be a systematic way to move entire product groups/lines etc from one company to another within Epicor. We need this move to include not only part numbers/revisions etc, but engineering boms including operations etc.

As far as physical inventory we will do intercompany invoices to transfer the quantity and value, but I am more concerned about the amount of work to setup and create all the part numbers/boms/vendors etc from scratch.

We own and have used DMT in the past it is a great tool, however I think there must be a better way to do this. DMT is great for making mass changes or imports, but since the data already resides in Epicor I think it makes sense there is some easier way.

Epicor support suggested using External Company Maintenance module, I suppose they are referring to "global" parts and being able to duplicate changes etc.
I don't think this will help us with BOMs and I don't think this is a very good suggestion for the amount of data we need to copy over.

Looking for some suggestions, has anyone ever done something like this before in Epicor?

Thanks in advance
