Epicor and Google Chrome

FWIW Windows 7 PCs 64 bit is a "standard" workstation now and when V8/E9 is acting up there are a few changes I make almost automatically...
- Get current with Windows Updates
- Set classic theme, then disable the Theme service
- If MS Linq is installed - I disable autostart
- Turn off all power saving

I've not seen V8/E9 issues with the rest of the things I've seen mentioned in this thread.
- Chrome - I've not seen any issues.
- Second monitor? - some USB brands have annoying refresh or screen placement problems but nothing really serious.
- Flash is flash but I've not seen issues with V8/E9... people need it so I enable auto-updates

Chrome does not support editing SharePoint documents directly from Epicor, but we have never had any issues with Chrome and Epicor playing nicely. We have a loose policy on IE/FF/Chrome and have not found a correlation between browser and Epicor issues.

We have had a problem in the past two days:

Some users have reported that Epicor will go into suspended mode every 1-3
minutes, even while actively interacting with the application. This would
happen all day long. One thing that each of these users had in common was
that they used Chrome, and had it open during the entire workday.

When we close Chrome, the issue goes away.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this would be, and what we might do
(aside from never using Chrome again) to resolve it?

Thanks!

They do NOT play well together. We have had issues with EVERY PC that has "accidently" downloaded Chrome. We uninstalled it and all is good again.

I've seen Chrome give the "Waiting for Cache" message and it freezes
*everything* up on the user's computer; just not related to Epicor.

I should be clear that we're not using a browser to run Epicor at all, we
are running the Epicor client on its own, and the browser for other
internet use.

Epicor is always running on my system and I doubt I have closed Chrome in a few weeks. No problems with the two. Chrome does not support editing SharePoint documents directly from Epicor, but we have never had any issues with Chrome and Epicor playing nicely. We have a loose policy on IE/FF/Chrome and have not found a correlation between browser and Epicor issues.

I think you are barking up the wrong tree.

Epicor supports Internet 9-10 but not chrome, we were told that when we installed enterprise search.

I agree! I've used Chrome for years with Epicor with no problems until
Tuesday.

What I did find last night is that I had no problems working at home - with
no dock and no dual monitors. Some of my affected users have desktops, so
I don't think that the dock is the issue. But, all affected users have
Win7 and dual monitors, so I'm guessing it is something with a browser
plug-in like Flash or Java and the dual monitors.
