Here are a few new Epicor Ideas submitted by some of my colleagues for ECM:

DocuSign signed copy needs to be added to Kinetic attachments:

When a DocuSign signature is added to an ECM document, there is a layer called View Signed. The attachment of this file to Kinetic will not bring this annotation layer to Kinetic.

Search menu -Search for dates before 1st of Month - ECM - make 1st of Month or end of month as variable

Make variables for End of Month and Start of Month, include a math function that allows the user to indicate -1 or any number. The search would show documents that that are from last month as Invoiced or Due Date.

Math Task Specific to Dates

Currently, the Math Task allows for the addition or subtraction of days, hours, months and date difference calculations. Unfortunately, there is no way to account for non-working days such as weekends and holidays, as applicable. There is a need to be able to incorporate these non-working days into these calculations so that notifications, ShipBy Dates, Due Dates, etc. would be accurate as far as when they are actionable.

The idea to resolve this would be to create a separate task designed specifically for date handling that can reference a calendar to then account for these non-working days. Ideally, ECM would be able to reference the Production Calendar from within Epicor so that it is maintainable from one spot. It would also be beneficial if it was possible to choose which calendar to use within the task as different workflows may have different purposes to align with different calendars. Lastly, it may also be beneficial to have a user defined calendar within ECM as Epicor may not be an option for some of this.

Recycle Bin - allow us to redirect the restore to another folder
Sort the Fields grid in Datalink and Integrations
Requesting addition of versioning controls via imports, workflows and security classes
ERP integration module has an Attach method, but no Delete method

And this one, similar to Beth’s first
Allow documents with Stamps or Annotations to retain them when viewed in Kinetic

Comments in History need to be accessible to users by creating these fields as fields in ECM.

Storing the comments in a field and giving admins access to put the field in a notification or a display message is needed.

Send Email Validation from Admin>User

When users do not understand or get the initial email from ECM to validate their password, the user needs to log in and click the User Preferences>Environment to send a validation email. The admin User>User screen should have a button to allow Admins to trigger a validation email without having to sign in as the user.

"The issue is when a user is imported into ECM, they need their email to be validated. Without a send email task when you import a user with LDAP/SAML/IDP, there is no way to receive email.

Once the user is imported, the selection below will need to be completed to allow users to receive an email."

Users not receiving emails is the number one issue that all companies have when implementing/maintaining the software. The admin function in a company either site or user with access to users needs to be able to maintain emails by being able to send email validations to all unvalidated user or individuals.

Integration datalinks interface need to be filterable

When using datalinks to validate the Precreate in SO and AP Automation. There is no way to filter the fields with data or to copy that data into the rows, except with ctrl + f and search all rows. This area needs to have a filter and sort to allow the consultant/developers/admins/business users the ability to find fields and filter.

This functionality should be in the workflow datalink handler as well.

The value is to all developers/consultants need to find fields and develop workflows with the datalink variables, the PreCreate is a long datalink with lots of similar names. This functionality will help professional services and business developers to find/filter columns names and if any test data has variables.

“The filter would be in the parameters, but adding a filter in the test data would be useful as well.” So the parameter table to be filterable, and then a bonus would be if the Test Data table would also be filterable/sortable.

Import User + Send Email

When Importing Users with LDAP or IDP, the Admin will need to create an email and share the URL/User/Password for the IDP user. Preference would be to have a “Send Email” with this Admin function.
