Hi Everybody! Trying to keep my posts sparce on here to keep the community pure with Kinetic or Classic help- but thought that if anyone was good for this level of Epicor Kinetic work, they’d be in this forum. I’m looking for an Epicor Lead as a full time employee able to play a major role in implementing Kinetic at a MFG in Jackson, MI. All technical module knowledge is preferred with a heavy understanding for Operations as well. They’ve indicated they can do as high at $160k/yr + bonus for this person, but need to be on site 5 days a week… I know… Please reach out if you’re interested! ---

FULL DISCLOSURE: I’m not interested in this position… I already moved AWAY from snow country! Implementations are tricky things. I am personally a TON more effective in person than I am over a Teams or Zoom meeting. This is a relationship business. If I’m visible and known to the folks I’m trying to teach how a new ERP system works, they’re a lot more likely to flag me down as I walk by and ask a random question… and after a few dozen of those random knowledge spreads out and fear lessens. Over time comfort and muscle memory improve. THAT part of an implementation ALWAYS goes better when there’s someone to point to and ask stuff. ---

I totally understand. It’s the client; clients can be dumb sometimes. I once applied for a job (in the “early” days of online job applications). It was a software engineer job with a Fortune 500 company. They had **SIXTEEN** “must have” technologies on the job requirement. I checked “yes” to 15 of them, and checked “no” to the 16th (which seemed to be a very minor part of the role they were looking to fill). I don’t lie on resumes or applications. I was immediately rejected and emailed informing me that I didn’t meet the requirements. The problem was not the website or the software, but the fact that the HR person who put that job out there (or the hiring mgr), didn’t understand that if you find a candidate that meets 15 out of 16 technologies, there’s a da\*n good chance they can learn this other one as well (if I recall correctly, it may have just been a software tool). In reality, there were probably 3-5 technologies that were **really** required, and the rest were nice-to-have tools, able to be quickly mastered by a smart, experienced professional. But I don’t want to hijack your post. Just venting. 🙂 ---

In my experience as well with implementing things, just being able to overhear people talking about something goofy theyre about to setup and do gives me the chance to prevent a bunch of issues from ever happening.
