Probably a dumb question but I don’t use the product so here goes:

We use printed Material Queue Reports and run EKMW on handhelds. It gives our pickers a doublecheck of the order as they go up and down the aisles of the warehouse.

We found out this week that the Material Queue Report is sortable out of the box by (order/)warehouse/bin. No issues there. Looks like it’ll do what we need. Apparently never covered in training, it is what it is.

Unfortunately, the picking tasks are apparently hitting EKMW still in order/line sequence.

Is there an easy way to change the task sequence on EKMW to match how we printed the Material Queue Report? Opened a ticket yesterday but no response to date.

Create a custom material queue query and then you can set the sort yourself. You would have to deploy it to be available for all users for anyone to be able to use that query.

Again, apologies if I’m dumbing this up…but as far as I know we’re running EKMW unmodified and I wouldn’t know where to start. I was hoping there might be an out-of-the-box option, like having the user hit a function key to call up preferences/defaults.

This is an out of the box feature. Depends on the end user’s access and what you all have setup for if it’s using handheld/mes security or not.

You should have an option called “custom mtl queries”

You can then set different sorting and filtering preferences, i.e. only stock to shipment transactions.

@lindsayc Thanks again for the info - found the option on the handheld, made the change, tried to save…and got an error. Waiting on Epicor Support to clarify, probably a permissions issue with the user…but this certainly looks like it’ll suit our needs.
