Is it possible to install Epicor on a VM machine and have users log in locally from their PC client accessing that VM machine without having to RDP into that VM machine. How does VM work with users logging into Epicor?
Sure a VM is nothing more than another server. Nothing special needed.
The VM needs to be a part of your domain so that users can access the epicor network share
They would still need Epicor installed on their local PC Client to access the VM machine…correct? What’s the purpose of this if they can access it directly by RDP?
What is the purpose of running epicor locally? Too many to count… RDP is a giant pain, copy , paste, printing , file shares, you name it
If you already have Epicor on a Physical Machine, this is not VMWare you could however easily create a Hyper-V Image and there are probably tools out there to convert Hyper-V to VMWare.
