ePortal, firewall, frame relay

I would have to agree with Jeremy on this one. ISA server is a good
product. Not only for price and easy use, but the features. If you
have a windows 2000 domain it integrates security. Using the cache
server will allow you save bandwith by storing info on the server.
If you wish to truely secure your network you would purchase a new
server (increasing Cost). Installing a firewall like this on a
server that is already inuse can be dangerous. If you have never
worked with a firewall product choosing a hardware based system might
be difficult. They have come a long way in user interfaces, but
generally a more difficult to setup. ISA server is quick but
hardware is always faster software. To much to consider in a message
board. I don't want to write a book.

We are in the middle of installing the ePortal module. It is going
to be very tough to decide which hardware or software firewall to
purchase. We are going to sign up for Verizon Flex Grow T-1 Internet
access with 384K Frame Relay.
I would appreciate your input.

I just purchased and installed Microsoft's Internet Security and
Acceleration Server (ISA) and found it to be fairly straight forward and
easy to install and get up and running. Cost is under $900.00 with no per
seat lic. Microsoft lets you download it and try it out for 3 months at no
charge.
Thanks

We are in the middle of installing the ePortal module. It is going
to be very tough to decide which hardware or software firewall to
purchase. We are going to sign up for Verizon Flex Grow T-1 Internet
access with 384K Frame Relay.
I would appreciate your input.
