I'm trying to write a Report Builder report to capture equivalent units
produced on a daily basis (we use a standard costing system). I thought I
had it done, I had used the labor detail quantity and had it multiply by the
standard labor cost then divided by the base unit labor cost to calculate
the quantity of equivalent units, this seemed to work well, until we saw
that subcomponents were being double counted. They were counted when they
were produced, but their labor costs were also in the standard labor for the
finished goods that they were used in.
I've been trying to find a link to the amount of labor absorbed
(Inventory/WIP reconciliation), but have been unsuccessful. I want to show
the job #, part #, part description, qty produced and equivalent units on
the report. If anyone has a suggestion on how I can accomplish this, or if
anyone has done this, please let me know. Or if there is something in VBI
that will help.
