We are trying to update the database in our E9 test environment. It appeared to load fine. However, nobody, even admin can login. We get a popup with Invalid Log On as the title of the popup with big red x error message UNSPECIFIED ERROR. We cannot find any way to restore back to original as we now still get this error. Any ideas would be great!
What is the the server log? sql or progress? did you bring up just the main appserver first and change the ports or change them with a script?
What update are you applying?

Hi Greg, it is progress db. Brought it up in the sequence, copy backup from
live into test, took about 30 min, then shutdown appservers and db, then
copied over old db in pro environment. Once that completed, restarted db
successfully, the appservers 905, the login to e9 client. No options to
change ports, looked like all appservers were running, but acts like no
users exist. Did we miss a step?
I am sql and bring up the main appservers first then login and change the ports for task and process appservers, but you are failing at logon.
I would make sure the appservers was in verbose mode for logging and see what the error is after the logon attempt.
