I am trying to add PartNum and PartDesc for the JobNum that exist in
the Labor Edit Report. In doing this, I added the JobHead table to
link with LaborDtl table. Since there are empty JobNum in the LaborDtl
that shows up in the Labor Edit Report, I needed to do a Right Outer
Join from LabrDtl to JobHead. But when apply the Right Outer Join, I
get this error in Crystal Reports:

ODBC error:[DataDirect – Technologies][ODBC PROGRESS
driver][PROGRESS] Sorry, operation not implemented yet (7484)

Vantage version is 6.10.528

Thanks in advance on any help.
Unfortunately, there are no right joins in Progress yet. You must use
left joins.

Aceman,

Not sure if I entirely understand the problem or what you are trying to
do, but here goes...

Assuming you are in V8, and you simply want to take any of the records
records in labordtl and add a part number and description to them, then
take a look at the jobasbml table. I think that might just work for
you. If you left join labordtl on jobasmbl where the fields company,
jobnum, and assemblyseq are equal you should be in business.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

James,
Thank you for the help, but I still loose all the people that
were clocked in as inderect, which are the ones that doesn't have
any JobNum from the LaborDtl table and shows up in our current Labor
Edit Report. I am trying to avoid having them using the old Labor
Edit with all the JobNum and another to just reference the PartNum
and Desc for the JobNum that matches. This why I so needed to do a
Right Outer Join. Any more ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

You need to change the join to a "LEFT OUTER".
Then this will work.
Join LaborDtl to JobOper using Company, JobNum, AssemblySeq, OprSeq.
This will give you all Labor Details including those clocked into indirect.
Also, add a join from JobOper to JobHead using Company, JobNum.
Choose the PartNum and PartDescription from the JobHead table.
In the world of Vantage, stick to LEFT joins and your life will be happier.
Good luck,
