Error: "X serial numbers required but Y serial numbers assigned for the assembly. Cannot close."

Thanks for the idea! Here is my BAQ export which worked to close out stuck jobs

When we have this problem it’s because the final operation is set to serial number required and the final operation had a manual qty adjustment to “complete” that operation. The SN’s are now more then likely shipped and moved on.
The easiest way to complete the job at this point is to do a Job adjustment for the final operation but leave the completed box checked.
So in your case it says only 3 are required but 4 are assigned. You need to increase the final operation qty to 4 by doing a job adjustment of 1 for the final operation.
It can also go the other way, example 4 SN’s required but only 3 assigned in which case you would do an adjustment of -1 for the final operation.

Hope that helps. We have been doing this in Epicor 9 and 10.

This did not work for me… Extra SN is still linked to the job somehow

Most likely someone reported quantity multiple times for a singular item. Try removing the errant item from time and expense first before trying to brute force closing using that ubaq.

Providing that will not work for you, use the normal job closing ui and reopen job before using the ubaq. Next use ubaq to set qty to 1 (again only if your item has posted already ). Then with regular job closing you should be able to complete & close now.

FWIW, this will not fix your over reported quantity completed materials and labor costs, you will need to correct these items as well.
