Excluding Part Class from Inventory count in 8.03

I have a similiar need, and the problem is that the Manual part selection is one of those searches that only allows you to select one part at a time. So while you can do a quick search or BAQ search, you have to select them one at a time which takes forever.

Could you, instead of using the 'full physical' function, select the
parts in Count Group entry you want to check with a BAQ search which
excludes the part classes in the BAQ?

I haven't tested this, but it's an idea?

All,

Has anyone come across a way in Vantage 8 to exclude parts from
inventory counts based on part class? I know this has come up in the
past, but I am not sure if anyone ever succeeded in doing this.

Thanks!

Paul

If you are talking about perpetual and not a full physical you can setup
a low ABC (Z) code, setting the cycle time to 9999. Any part with the
part class excluded, set the Min ABC to this ABC code

You could use a BPM to set the Min ABC automatically based on the part
class selected

Chris / Gary,

Sorry, I should have been more clear; it is for the Year End Inventory...

Thanks!
