Expedite Suggestions in Time Phase

What criteria does Epicor use to suggest expediting a firmed job instead of generating a new unfirmed job that supports schedule?
Is there a system setting? Is there a time frame window that causes the expedite suggestion?

I think MRP will always prefer expediting an existing job instead of creating a new suggestion unless the job has the Schedule Locked flag set. If that’s checked, Epicor will instead suggest you to create a new job with the updated timing and to cancel the existing job.
