Copy the querry to a text file so it can be pasted back in after
corruption. You can get the querry from report builder or export but
the querry text will paste in and out of a text file better

Does anyone know a way to protect Export Utility reports? We need people to
access the exports, but we have trouble with people changing/deleting/adding
things on accident.

Anyway to protect certain parts of an export file, so someone can only
change what you want (i.e. Query Job Number, not fields)?

Anyway to copy exports, so I can keep the original hidden out of the way a
bit, in case people mess with the one they're using?

Unfortunately, there is no way to give access to run exports, without
granting full add / change / delete access as well.

As for keeping a reference, they are stored in the "Exports" table; you
can whip up a report to get a half way decent listing of the
definitions. Or just do a screen print.
