Does anyone have an easy way on how to export the data from the change log?

We are planning on purging the data in the change log, however, before we purge it, we want to export it to a excel file or text file.

When we try to connect to the table using ODBC we get errors.
Might not be fun but a BAQ on the table to populate a dashboard.

Let it run for the hour or two it might need to populate...

Then Copy and Paste.

Of course, I would just query the table in SQL and paste it into a file. If you are stuck with progress, try Squirrel or whatever it is that Vic is always harping about.

You could create a BAQ and right click the results grid to export to excel.

What about just dumping it out of SQL into excel. There are exporters out there that you could take the whole table to Excel as an archive type format.

Like the other post suggested, an Export BAQ might be a good route.

Just curious though, what errors you are seeing? Progress?
I only wonder because I've never had any trouble connecting to ChgLog.

We have Progress and we do not have SQL.

I just linked the ChgLog table using ODBC connection in Microsoft Access
with no problems.

Do you think there might be corrupt data?
