Exporting using Report Builder

Oleg
In page properties set all margins to zero. Remove all Page header and
footer lines. Every line should begin with a quote that is NOT merged left.
Every other field on the line should be merged left.

I export to Excel. I put a quotes around numbers and text. Excel imports
them fine. If you're using other software you may have a problem with quotes
around numbers. Format your numbers with no commas if you don't have
quotes around them. If you're exporting text fields like comments or memos
and there are quotes in the text use a formula to replace them.

I am trying to create a CSV file to use with our payroll software, the
problem that I am running into is that no matter what I do the report
starts with three blank lines and that throws off the importing software.
There is no lines that should come up on the report, yet they do. Help.
Does anyone know what causes this and what the work arounds are.

Do you have all your page margins set for the report builder report set to 0
and all headers removed?
Oleg,
Also, in the Export setup window, select the "Once per band" option.

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
Removing the margins solved it, would have never guessed that. Thank you.

Oleg,

Make sure you do not have a margin at the top or the bottom.
