Extended User Defined Tables/Columns Not Available in Customizat

I'm actually having the same issue. I am on 9.05.607A. I am working with Epicor to see what the delio is. Everything points to that it should be working. I can see the tables in MSSQL and the UD Schema Update runs without error, yet the bindings do not show up in Epicor Customization Dialog. Tried to bind a field manually without using the dropdown just in case, but still no dice, got an invalid binding error.

Hello All,

I added a new Extended UD table to the Parts table as well as couple of columns. It all looks good in the Table Maintenance form (as well as in the underlying SQL tables), but I do not see them anywhere in the customization dialog box.

I looked through all of the tables/columns in the EpiDataView, but did not see them.

I tried all forms of variations in the EpiBinding property: Part_UD.NewColumn, Part.NewColumn, UD_Part, etc.

Is there something else I need to run before I can use the new columns?

What would the "EpiBinding" be for these new columns?

Do I have to do the binding in code instead of through the customization dialog box?

Thanks,

Anton
They should show up under Part in the EpiBinding dropdown list.

I created mine in Extended UD Table Maintenance then shutdown the appservers and db, ran the UD schema update then restarted everything and I could use the new extended table. I am running a progress db though.

Hello All,

I added a new Extended UD table to the Parts table as well as couple of columns. It all looks good in the Table Maintenance form (as well as in the underlying SQL tables), but I do not see them anywhere in the customization dialog box.Â

I looked through all of the tables/columns in the EpiDataView, but did not see them.Â

I tried all forms of variations in the EpiBinding property: Part_UD.NewColumn, Part.NewColumn, UD_Part, etc.Â

Is there something else I need to run before I can use the new columns?

What would the "EpiBinding" be for these new columns?

Do I have to do the binding in code instead of through the customization dialog box?

Thanks,

Anton

Follow Up.

We shut down the app servers and ran the UD Schema Update option in the Tools Application and the new field are still not showing up in the customizations. We are on SQL Server.

Any ideas?

That should do it. =/
Verify that you stuck them on the right table and try the schema change
again?
What version are you on? I believe there was an issue with them in one of
the first 9.05 releases. Some one else probably has more information on
this...or my memory could just be crappy.
