This post is for posterity and if anyone runs into an issue if they are adding Extension table columns to a BPM (.i.e) ttOrderDtl and the trace does not show the new column, try recycling the application pool.
Took a while to think of recycling, considering that I could put a infomessage into the code, the message would show on screen, but the column would just not show in the trace.
