I had a similar issue when I added the CustID to an RMA Form. It showed up in Crystal Developer, and when I "printed" the form from my workstation, but when other users(who did NOT have Crystal Developer on their workstation) previewed or printed the form, the CustID would not print. The Data was in the XML. There is some sort of "issue" with the Crystal runtime. The fix (workaround really) was to uninstall the Crystal runtime, install crystal Developer, re-install the runtime, then un-unstall Crystal Developer. The field then printed on the form for the user(s) at that workstation. This may be something to try (if you don't have a lot of users workstations)

I am trying to add a field, (CustCnt.EmailAddress), to a sales order form. When I browse the data in the field it appears as I need but when I print preview the form it does not show. When I add any other field from the CustCnt table it works as expected. Just the EmailAddress field has this peculiar behavior. I have added this field to a blank report and it shows as expected. I have reentered the email address to clean up any bad characters - no go...

I am using Crystal Reports 11.5.3.417 with Vantage 8.03.407b. The form is using an ODBC connection...

Any ideas?

Thx in advance for any help...
Sounds as though you may have to change the join.

How are you linking the custcnt to customer?

That's what I thought too but not only can I browse the data in that field but all other fields from that table act normally... Weird...

Yes... It is an XML based form, (a copy of the standard SOForm form Epicor), and once linked to a datasource it appears in design view as it should...

I have reentered the email address to clean up any bad characters
- no go...

I am using Crystal Reports 11.5.3.417 with Vantage 8.03.407b. The form is using an ODBC connection...

Any ideas?

Thx in advance for any help...

I tried a simple formula - if IsNull([CustCnt. EmailAddress} ) then "Blank" else {CustCnt.EmailAddre ss} and it came up with the word "Blank", yet when I edit the XML file I can see the correct email address there... (I have attached the XML file).

What happens if you create a formula whose value is just the field in question and use the formula instead?

Yes... It is an XML based form, (a copy of the standard SOForm form Epicor), and once linked to a datasource it appears in design view as it should...

I have seen weird stuff like this happen when the field goes out into the margins.

Also set the report to have no default printer.

Subject: [Vantage] Field won't display on Crystal Report

I am trying to add a field, (CustCnt.EmailAddre ss), to a sales order form.
When I browse the data in the field it appears as I need but when I print preview the form it does not show. When I add any other field from the CustCnt table it works as expected. Just the EmailAddress field has this peculiar behavior. I have added this field to a blank report and it shows as expected. I have reentered the email address to clean up any bad characters
- no go...

I am using Crystal Reports 11.5.3.417 with Vantage 8.03.407b. The form is using an ODBC connection.. .

Any ideas?

Thx in advance for any help...
