I see what you are shooting at. I never tried to set up the document
association for this file type. It certainly doesn't seem to work. In
case it helps, we view our inventor drawings through vantage as *.idw
using voloview express, because idw files are the default drawing file
created by Inventor.

DWF is a drawing format supported by Autodesk Inventor. To view it, you
need the Autodesk Express Viewer (available free). Here is a link to the
