Filters for RB

You can use the field formatting to print only the number of
characters you want. I just can't remember if it's the Character
format field, or the width field. You may have to play with it
a little, to get exactly what you want on the report.

Does anyone have any ideas for getting just a portion of the Report Filter.
For some of my more complex reports, Report Filter is too long and looks
terrible on the report. The problem is you can't use any functions on the
REPORT-FILTER(). It would be really nice to be able to SUBSTRING it. I've
also tried assigning it to a calculated field and using SUBSTRING on that.
RB doesn't allow that either. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Arron, create a calculated field "ReportFilter" = REPORT-FILTER(). Place
the field in the report title or summary section. Make sure to enable text
wrapping and multiple lines.

I know I saw this covered a while back, but I can't find it. I am looking
for the trick to print the filter used to create a report.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry - I followed the same thread Aaron found... message 2894, though.
Calvin explains the solution to this problem in excellent detail.
