Financial report error message

Vantage 4.0 requires a G/L Balance Sheet Account for Net Income. It's used
as an accumulator for Current Year's Net Income.

From Page 5 of the Vantage 4.0 installation guide:

"NET INCOME" ACCOUNT CATEGORY
A checkbox has been added to the G/L Category Maintenance window, called
"Net Income." After you have installed Vantage 4.00, you must select one
category (and only one) as the Net Income category. This category will be
used to record the P/L from income statements on the balance sheet.

To set up a G/L Account Category as the "Net Income" category, go to the
Account Category master maintenance file in General Ledger. Highlight the
category you want to become the "Net Income" category, then select Update
from the Edit menu. Select the Net Income checkbox, then click OK.

Note: Failure to select a G/L Category as the Net Income category will
prevent you from running balance sheet reports in Vantage.

At least one account category has to be set to "NET INCOME" in 4.0. Check
to make sure that at least one category is marked as such.
