Financial reports

You can still do that in 5.0.

Alex,
Unless some extreme changes have been made since V3 (what I am on), you
certainly CAN do summarized statements in the Financial Report Designer.
You
need to select the line type as "Summary", then specify ranges of charts
and/or departments.

I would use the Financial Report Designer. Works much better than
report
builder for Financial Reports with comparisons to prior periods, years,
etc. The only downside to the Financial Report Designer is that you
have
to show all accounts numbers to get them to total (ie you can't have a
summarized financial statement). It is pretty easy to learn and now you
can duplicate reports.

If you want to use report builder, try the in-list command and filter by
'100','102'

Call me if you need help.

Hello all. I am having difficulty trying to design an Income statement
which combines two separate departments which are not numbered
consecutively. In other words with departments 100,101, & 102, I am
trying
to build a statement that combines only 100 & 102. The problem I run
into
is that since I cannot name a range (i.e.100-102)
I tried putting the chart numbers in for both departments, for some
reason
the report writer keeps changing the sequence of both the charts and the
departments. Any suggestions?
