Fixes for E9

Hi All,

Has Epicor taken an official position on whether or not they will continue to produce fixes for Epicor 9.05?
We have a couple bugs that we’ve found recently and the answer has been that it will be fixed in a future release of E10.
Is there a path to push for E9 fixes?

I wish there was a path. We have a problem where in Customer Shipment - you create a line - arrow over the serial numbers.

Then you realize that the customer wants to change the shipment.

You delete the line and then it deletes the Serial Number and all history.

This is really bad for RMA’s.

It worked in Vantage.

I received this from Epicor “I located existing Software Change Request SCR 132091 for your issue, and the issue is fixed in version 9.05.703. The issue here is that Development is not releasing one-off fixes for your version, which is an older 9.05.605 version.”

All our products are serialized - this is a major bug. Especially when it was working in Vantage.

Regarding SCR 132091-- there is a one-off that was created for 9.05.702a four years ago that is available through Support for this specific issue. If your company were to upgrade to at least 9.05.702a a fix could be requested and likely provided through Support. Just trying to help by providing another option beyond upgrading to E10.x.

Thanks - we are a very small company and really don’t have the resources to upgrade and this time. However, I do because it was working in Vantage and the code was broken in Epicor 9 - they should offer a fix it program.

Really, it deletes all Serial Number history.
